Therapy, Fitness, Yoga, and Mentorship for Adults Living with Neurological Conditions
Raquel Currah, PT, E-RYT
Raquel is here to support individuals with neurological conditions through evidence-based rehabilitation and holistic yoga practices.
Navigating a neurological condition can affect movement, coordination, and daily life in profound ways. Raquel Currah brings over 30 years of experience as a physical therapist specializing in neurological rehabilitation to support individuals in reconnecting with their bodies and building resilience through movement and mindfulness.
Her approach blends evidence-based physical therapy with adaptive yoga to enhance body awareness, breath control, and mental focus—tools that can help rebuild neural pathways and foster a sense of empowerment.
Raquel is currently pursuing certification with the International Association of Yoga Therapists (C-IAYT) to deepen her understanding of yoga’s role in holistic health. She is recognized by the Federal Yoga Alliance as an Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher (E-RYT) and has completed extensive training in trauma-informed and adaptive yoga for special populations.

Raquel integrates physical therapy and adaptive yoga to support individuals with neurological conditions in exploring new movement strategies, rebuilding neural pathways, and cultivating resilience. She recognized early on that yoga’s emphasis on body awareness, breath, and mental focus makes it a powerful complement to neurological rehabilitation.
Since becoming a registered yoga teacher in 2012, Raquel has pursued specialized training in trauma-informed and adaptive yoga, including:
Sundara Yoga Therapy and Trauma-Informed Yoga Therapy with Genevieve Yellin
Therapeutic Adaptive Yoga for MS with Karen O'Donnell Clarke
Chair Yoga for Every Body with Susanne Murtha
Love Your Brain Yoga for Health Professionals
Ongoing yoga therapy training with Practice School of Yoga Therapy
She continues to learn from her teachers and students alike and is recognized by the Federal Yoga Alliance as an Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher (E-RYT).
What is Yoga Therapy?
Yoga therapy is a personalized approach to wellness that uses adapted yoga practices of breath, movement, and meditation to address specific health conditions and wellness goals. Your yoga therapist will create individualized plan tailored to your unique needs, abilities, and circumstances and may work alongside your medical care team to guide and empower you to take an active role in your wellness journey.
Upon completion of the 1000 hours of coursework, Raquel will be eligible to sit for the International Association of Yoga Therapists certification exam to be C-IAYT. Raquel looks forward to diving more deeply into the history, philosophy, and practice of yoga as an empowering tool for health and wellness for people of all abilities.
